Details and description
In the south of the island, an ancient Spanish tower dominates a high promontory rising above the brilliant emerald green sea. You can walk along this beautiful stretch of cliff to enjoy the landscape, or you can stop and sunbathe on the beach, and snorkel in the bay of Turri underneath the tower.
This picturesque beach generally consists of small dark pebbles, but in years with exceptional storm surges and prevailing winds, you will find it is once more covered in sand. If you walk along a short path that runs along the cliff to the right of the tower, you get to another larger, quieter cove, surrounded by a wild, unspoiled landscape: a really wonderful place to relax. Bring the equipment you need to explore the seabed with its mixture of rocks and sand, and fish swimming calmly in water so clear it seems almost unreal.
