Un&#8217;<strong>area sacra a cielo aperto<\/strong>, tra le pi\u00f9 antiche e affascinanti del <strong>Mediterraneo fenicio-punico<\/strong>, che custodisce ancora oggi il suo alone di mistero.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Collocato in posizione elevata e ben visibile dall\u2019<strong>antica<\/strong><em><strong> Sulky<\/strong><\/em>, il sito era volutamente separato dagli spazi abitativi: un luogo altro, riservato al sacro, alla soglia invisibile tra il mondo dei vivi e quello del divino. Qui, dall&#8217;<strong>VIII<\/strong> al<strong> III<\/strong><strong>secolo a.C.<\/strong>, la <strong>comunit\u00e0 fenicio-punica<\/strong> celebrava riti e pratiche religiose che rivestivano un <strong>profondo valore simbolico<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nel corso degli scavi sono state portate alla luce oltre <strong>3000 urne cinerarie<\/strong>, in gran parte legate a bambini nati morti o venuti a mancare nei primissimi giorni di vita. I <strong>piccoli<\/strong>, non ancora iniziati alla vita pubblica della comunit\u00e0, venivano affidati alla protezione di <strong><em>Tanit<\/em> e <em>Baal Hammon, <\/em><\/strong>le divinit\u00e0 supreme del pantheon punico. Le urne erano deposte con cura nelle cavit\u00e0 naturali della roccia, spesso accompagnate da <strong>stele in pietra<\/strong> decorate con figure umane e animali, testimonianze silenziose di un sistema di credenza in cui vita, morte e divinit\u00e0 si intrecciavano in modo indissolubile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Visitare il tofet significa fare un passo fuori dal tempo. Le stele, le urne, la disposizione stessa nello spazio ti raccontano una <strong>religiosit\u00e0 antica e stratificata<\/strong>, difficile da decifrare ma impossibile da ignorare.
