By Plane

Cagliari airport, located only 80 km from Sant'Antioco, offers connections to numerous national and international destinations, thanks to scheduled and charter flights.

By Ferry

Sardinia can be reached throughout the year by ships and ferries from the rest of Italy, France, including Corsica, and Spain. The main shipping companies are Tirrenia, Moby, Sardinia Ferries and Grimaldi, with arrivals in Cagliari, Olbia, Porto Torres, Arbatax and Golfo Aranci.

From the port of Cagliari, you can easily access the city's train and bus stations. In addition, you can rent cars or use private transfer services.

By Train

From Cagliari-Elmas airport you can easily walk to the 'Elmas Aeroporto' railway station, from which a train runs approximately every hour during the day (from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.) to Carbonia Serbariu. Timetables are subject to change and can be consulted on the website www.trenitalia.com or directly at the station, while tickets can be purchased at the station or on the Trenitalia website.

From the Elmas Aeroporto station, you must proceed to the "Carbonia Serbariu" station, checking when purchasing your ticket whether or not you need to change at the "Villamassargia-Domusnovas" station. The Trenitalia staff will help you with any doubts or requirements.

You will arrive at your destination after about an hour, and you can reach Sant'Antioco by a bus that leaves from the intermodal centre (next to the station). For further instructions please refer to the 'Bus' section.

By Bus

The Azienda Regionale Sarda Trasporti (ARST) manages the network of bus connections throughout Sardinia. On their website, via the link Arst Finder, using the search bar you can check which is the nearest connection, by entering "Carbonia Intermodal Centre", as destination "Sant'Antioco Piazza Repubblica' and the desired departure time.
The bus journey normally takes just over half an hour, arriving in the centre of Sant'Antioco. From the arrival point, just cross Via XXIV Maggio and you will immediately find the Visit Sant'Antioco tourist information point on your right.

By Car

Visit Sant'Antioco by car or camper van in complete autonomy! Being connected to the mainland by an artificial isthmus and a bridge, Sant'Antioco is easily accessible without ferries or other means of transport. Once you arrive, you can comfortably explore the island and its many attractions.

If you are travelling in a camper van, serviced parking areas are available, including one open all year round located in the town centre.

Hire with Driver
