SULKY ROCK 2026 – DAY ONE
Sulky Rock isn't just a festival — it's the place where something happens every summer that you then find yourself telling. And this year, believe us, you'll have a lot to tell!
Tuesday, August 18 – DAY ONEMOGWAI | DITZ | Sick Tamburo | Gentylesky | Ilienses
Ilienses and Gentylesky open day one with roots well planted in the Sardinian scene — new voices of an island that never ceases to surprise. Sick Tamburo take the stage and bring with them that all-Italian electrical tension between songwriting and distortion. DITZ dump noise and urgency from deep within the most visceral British punk. Closing it all off, guiding the evening to its highest point, are Mogwai: a soundtrack of what can't be said in words, monumental post-rock built on silences and sonic explosions that redraw the space around the listener.
A night for those who don't look for the easy stuff. Bring whoever you want. Get found under the stage.
Sulky Rock 2026 starts— and can't wait to see you.

Line Up in detail👇👇
From 6 pm
ILIENSES
This musical project was born from the heart of Sardinia, founded by Mauro Medde and Natascia Talloru in 2018. The name ILENSES originates from the tribes that populated Barbagia in the Nuragic and post-Nuragic eras. Their music is an experimental combination of contemporary and archaic Sardinian instruments, still used today in esoteric rituals such as the Sardinian Carnival and numerous traditional events and festivals. The past is the research field of the Ilienses, who draw inspiration from history, the sounds of tradition, the local language, Sardinian poets and the wisdom of the elders. A sound with ancient roots that already knows about the future.
GENTILESKY
Post-punk / garage punk band based in Cagliari, GENTILESKY was born in 2021 as the authentic voice of the local independent scene. In 2023 they released their first album with the American label Hozac Records, followed by a series of concerts culminating in a European tour. Their second full-length, Dream, was released on April 3, 2026, via Slovenly Recordings, three years after their debut with Ways of Seeing!. A band that is at its best on stage overwhelming the audience with their disruptive energy and a new album not to be missed.
SICK DRUM
Born in Pordenone in 2007, SICK TAMBURO are one of the most important independent bands on the Italian scene. Few have managed to blend punk and songwriting with their own originality, building an unmistakable sonic identity and a simply explosive live reputation over time. After a completely sold-out tour and the release of Dementia — one of the most beautiful albums of early 2026 — we had to have them with us for this edition of the Festival. Get ready: their visceral, unfiltered rock will nail you to the stage.
DITZ
Born in Brighton in 2016, DITZ released on January 24 Never Exhale, their second album. A work that represents an evolution, but which maintains its roots in noise rock and in post-punk. After the success of their debut album The Great Regression (2022), the group continued to experiment, landing in the bills of Europe's most important festivals.
Fierce live band, they create visionary noise rock/post-punk with a wide range of pedal effects, with influences coming from hardcore and noise rock of the ’80s and ’90s.
Delighted to host them on stage at Sulky Rock for their first date in Sardinia!
MOGWAI
The Glasgow band, one of the most important realities of global post‑rock, needs no introduction: an absolute cult of the genre, a 30-year career and thousands of stages graced at the world's most important festivals. The trademark of MOGWAI is a unique formula: a layered sound, built on silences and sonic deflagrations, with soft moments that explode in waves of energy that leave their mark. Born in Glasgow in 1995, with eleven albums under their belt, In 2021 they reached number 1 in the UK charts with As The Love Continues, also earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize.
A stage presence capable of transforming any festival into an extraordinary event!
For the first time in Sardinia on the stage of Sulky Rock!
